Airflow Recommendations for DISPLAX Tile

The DISPLAX Tile product is equipped with two internal fans designed to maintain proper operating temperature and ensure consistent performance.
When these units are installed inside an enclosure, it is essential to guarantee adequate airflow to prevent heat buildup.

Why Airflow Is Important

Proper ventilation prevents overheating, which can lead to:

  • Temporary malfunctions.

  • Shortened component lifespan.

  • Unstable operation under continuous or high ambient temperature conditions.

Airflow Recommendations

  1. Allow air circulation around both fans

    • Ensure that air inlets and outlets are not obstructed.

    • Avoid placing solid panels or insulating materials directly over the fan openings.

  2. Maintain a minimum clearance

    • Leave enough free space around each fan for proper air exchange.

    • Do not seal the enclosure tightly — airflow must circulate freely in and out.

  3. Design the enclosure with ventilation slots or mesh panels

    • Position ventilation openings in line with the fan exhaust paths.

    • If possible, create a cross-ventilation path that allows cool air to enter from one side and warm air to exit from the opposite side.

  1. Avoid heat sources near the enclosure

    • Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, heaters, or other equipment that generates heat.

  2. Monitor temperature periodically

    • In installations running 24/7, perform periodic checks to ensure airflow is unobstructed and the fans are operating correctly.

Additional Notes

  • Fans are controlled automatically by the system and do not require user adjustment.

  • The typical operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).

  • In high-temperature environments, consider using an external cooling system or ventilation fan to assist airflow inside the enclosure.
