Assembly Process

Overlay Integration 

DISPLAX Skin Mesh overlays are designed for quick and clean integration. The overlay is secured directly to the LCD using the included brackets and M3 screws, with minimal setup time.

Depending on the display size, the number of mounting accessories may vary.

Pre-Installation Guidelines

⚠️ Always assemble in a clean, dust-free environment.

  1. Inspect the glass (both sides) for water droplets, fingerprints, or particles.

  2. Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth using mild cleaning solution.
    Recommended: Vileda R-MicronQuick microfiber cloth

  3. Clean both the Overlay (inner side) and the LCD screen.

Installation Steps

  1. Lay the PCAP Overlay Kit face-up on a soft surface like foam or microfiber cloth.

  2. Ensure the touch controller (PCB) is on the top edge — this is the correct orientation.

  3. With two people, gently lower the overlay onto the LCD at a 45º angle, starting from the top edge where the PCB is located.

  4. Secure the Overlay using the M3 screws and:

    • Top and bottom brackets

    • Side brackets (if included for larger sizes)

Final Connections

  1. Connect the grounding cable:

    • One end to the PCB

    • Other end to a metal part of the LCD chassis

  2. Connect the USB cable:

    • Plug one end into the mini USB port on the touch controller

    • Plug the other end into your host machine (PC, media player, etc.)

✅ Compatible with: Windows, Linux, Android, Web OS, Chrome OS, Tizen

Once connected, the overlay becomes fully touch-responsive, with no drivers required thanks to HID support.
