Calibrate 2 or More TILEs

The process of calibrating 2 or more TILE units would be exactly the same, regardless of how many TILE units you are using.

In the following example we demonstrate 3 TILE units working as a Videowall (3 Columns and 1 Row).

First, select the TILE you want to calibrate (1), we advise you to start with the first one on the left (DISPLAX Connect lists the Touch Controller serial numbers in the left panel), Then click on the CALIBRATION menu (2):



Now:

  1. Select the appropriate Display
  2. Select Drag Mode
  3. Select Rectangle (selected by default)
  4. Click CALIBRATE





All the TILEs/Displays will show the Calibration screen. Use the mouse to draw a rectangle within the active area of all the TILE you are calibrating, as demonstrated in the following image:



Important:
  1. The calibration area should be smaller than the Tile active area
    1. Ensure the rectangles all fit inside each TILE, leaving a black border of 3-5cm around each
  2. Press the Space bar to start calibration
    1. Ensure the targets are all entirely visible inside the display after pressing the space bar, otherwise press escape to start again

The rectangle can be adjusted manually using the mouse on the controls for the rectangle vertices and corners:
  1. Rotate rectangle
  2. Adjust size vertically
  3. Adjust size diagonally
  4. Move the entire rectangle
  5. Adjust size horizontally





Once the rectangle is drawn, press the Space bar to start the calibration process. Follow the on-screen instructions, starting on target number 1.
Touch and hold your finger in the center of the target until the green circle completes, then let go and move to the next target.
Be as accurate as possible and do not move your finger whilst touching the target.



Once completed, just repeat the process for the remaining TILE units. Select the TILE in the left panel of DISPLAX Connect, proceed to CALIBRATION, DRAG MODE, draw the calibration area within the active area of the TILE, Press the Space bar, and finally calibrate by touching the 4 targets.
