Console

Overview

DISPLAX Connect includes a built-in Console that allows advanced users and integrators to enter commands directly via the DISPLAX Service. This console is primarily intended for diagnostics, automation, advanced configuration, and support-level operations.

The Console provides a command-line interface linked to the connected Touch Controller, enabling precise control beyond the graphical interface.

How to Open the Console

You can access the DISPLAX Connect Console using any of the following methods:

Method 1: Menu

  1. Click the Menu (☰) in the upper-left corner
  2. Select Console

Method 2: Console Icon

  • Click the Console icon located in the lower-left corner of the application window

Method 3: Keyboard Shortcut

  • Press C on your keyboard

The Console window will open as an overlay within the DISPLAX Connect interface.

Using the Console

Once opened, the Console allows you to:

  • Enter commands directly via DISPLAX Service

  • Target a specific Touch Controller by serial number (if multiple devices are connected)

  • Execute configuration, control, or diagnostic commands

  • Support automation or scripted workflows without navigating the UI

The active controller serial number is displayed in the Console prompt, ensuring commands are sent to the correct device (if more than one connected).

Intended Use & Notes

  • The Console is recommended for advanced users, system integrators, and support teams

  • Incorrect commands may affect touch behavior or configuration

  • Use only documented or support-approved commands

  • For standard configuration, the graphical interface is recommended

Best Practices

  • Ensure the correct Touch Controller is selected before executing commands

  • Ensure to save changes made to settings before restarting the Touch Controller

  • Restart the Touch Controller after applying and saving configuration changes

  • Close DISPLAX Connect after completing adjustments to test, and to maintain optimal touch performance
