Proper fine-tuning is required to ensure stable and accurate touch performance on DISPLAX Skin Ultra.
Because every installation is different (glass thickness, size, EMI), Gain, Threshold, and Shield must be adjusted on site using DISPLAX Connect.
Gain (0–7)
Controls the signal strength sent to the sensor. Larger sensors and thicker glass may require higher Gain.
Threshold (0–50)
Defines what is considered a valid touch. Higher values increase stability but reduce sensitivity.
Shield
Reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI). Use only if false touches or noise are present.
⚠️ High values should be avoided. Excessive Gain, Threshold, or Shield can degrade touch performance.
Set Gain to 3
Wait 2 seconds after changing Gain before touching the screen.
Increase Threshold gradually
Touch and drag across the entire sensor until dragging is smooth and uninterrupted.
If Threshold reaches 40 and touch is still unstable
Increase Gain by 1, wait 2 seconds, and repeat step 2.
Use Shield only if EMI is present
Increase Shield slowly until false touches disappear, then stop.
Increase Gain and Threshold together
Keep Shield as low as possible
