Glass and Lamination Considerations

  • Use glass thickness within Skin Fit specifications

  • Ensure clean, dust-free lamination

  • Avoid uneven pressure or trapped air


Mechanical Integration Tips

  • Mount the sensor on a flat, rigid surface

  • Avoid bending or twisting the sensor during installation

  • Do not force the sensor into tight mechanical tolerances

  • Ensure the enclosure does not apply pressure to the active area


Electrical and EMI Considerations

  • Maintain distance between touch components and:

    • Power supplies

    • LED drivers

    • High-speed data cables

  • Ground all metallic frames properly

  • Use shielded USB cables and avoid unnecessary extensions


Tail (Flex Cable) Handling – Critical Area

The flex tail of the Skin Fit sensor requires special care due to its thin profile.

Best Practices for the Tail

  • Never crease or sharply bend the tail
