The DISPLAX Cast feature allows you to remotely configure DISPLAX touch controllers connected to another computer.
Before using it, you must enable network discovery on the host machine where the controller is physically connected.
Depending on your operating system, the DISPLAX Service is installed in the following default directories:
| Operating System | Default Location |
|---|---|
| Windows | C:\Program Files\DISPLAX\Service\ |
| macOS | /Applications/Displax/DisplaxConnect.app/Contents/MacOS/ |
| Ubuntu (bash) | displaxservice |
Open a terminal or command prompt on the host computer.
Navigate to the DISPLAX Service directory for your operating system.
Run the following command to allow remote network discovery:
Once executed, remote computers running DISPLAX Connect 3.0 or later will be able to discover your local touch controller(s) over the network.
✅ You should now see all available devices on your local logical network inside DISPLAX Connect.
Geometrical Calibration and the Configuration Wizard are not available remotely via DISPLAX Cast.
Ensure that firewall settings allow local network communication for the DISPLAX Service.
Both host and remote systems must have DISPLAX Connect 3.0 or newer installed.
