ID Binding

ID Binding

Screen ID Binding is a crucial process when setting up and controlling a video wall using the splicing software. This process ensures that each screen in the video wall is correctly identified and can be effectively controlled through its unique ID address. The steps below guide you through the process of binding the screen IDs to the corresponding screen units.

Steps to Bind Screen IDs:

  1. Access Screen ID Settings:

    • Open the Screen ID Binding section in the VIDEOWALL CONTROL V4.0 software. This section is where you can assign a unique ID address to each screen in the video wall setup.
  2. Display the Serial Numbers:

    • The software will display the serial numbers for each connected screen. Each serial number corresponds to a unique screen unit in the video wall setup.
  3. Enter the Device Serial Number:

    • For each screen unit, enter the Device Serial Number as shown on the screen display. This serial number ensures that the correct screen is assigned the appropriate ID.
    • To do this, locate the serial number displayed on the screen and input it into the software in the corresponding field.
  4. Assign the Correct Row and Column:

    • Select the row and column that corresponds to the position of the screen in the video wall layout. This step ensures that the software maps each screen to the correct location on the wall.
  5. Bind the ID:

    • After selecting the correct row, column, and serial number, click the [Bind] button to apply the ID binding to the screen.
    • Repeat the process for each screen in the video wall, ensuring each screen is assigned its own unique ID.
  6. Verify the Bindings:

    • Once all the screens have been bound with their respective IDs, click [Display] to verify that the screens are positioned and identified correctly in the software.
    • The video wall should now be ready for control and operation.
  7. Final Confirmation:

    • After confirming that all screens are correctly bound to their respective IDs, the software will be able to manage the video wall effectively.
    • The video wall's content can now be manipulated and controlled based on the ID configuration.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure each screen is connected properly before starting the ID binding process.
  • Double-check that the serial number entered in the software matches the serial number displayed on the screen.
  • The ID binding ensures that the software can recognize and control each screen unit individually or as part of the video wall layout.

By following these steps, you ensure that the screens are bound correctly and will function as expected within the video wall system, allowing for seamless control and operation.
