Overview

DISPLAX Active Object Recognition (DPXActiveOR) solution is a combo of hardware and middleware, which enables interactive solutions developers to integrate and deliver powerful Object Recognition (OR) interactive experiences, going beyond traditional OR solutions. 


The solution includes:


  1. OR tags (active tags, with internal battery)

    2.         

  2. Bluetooth Low Energy add-on, to be coupled with Skin Ultra controller

               

  3. Wireless charger (to enable tag wireless charging)

  • Visual feedback (ring light)
  • Haptics (vibration motor)
  • in_range and in_contact reporting
  • Wireless charging
  • Up to 6 simultaneous tags in active mode
  • Up to 84 tags paired to the system, each one with a unique ID
  • Tag reports (position, rotation) are available through TUIO and Displax Service API (ACTIVE TAGS ID's are fixed and not managed via TUIO as they connect directly to the touch controller Bluetooth add-on)
  • Tag actions (customizable light and vibration effects), joystick mode, and other advanced information available through Displax Service API
  • Tags and normal touch gestures can be used simultaneously
