Placing the Touch Sensor on the Glass

Placing the Touch Sensor on the Glass

How to place the Displax touch sensor on the glass

After removing the protective liner, you must gently transfer the touch sensor from the wall to the glass substrate. This step requires care to avoid wrinkles, folds, or grid misalignment.

Step 1 – Carefully Remove the Sensor from the Wall

  • Spray your fingers with water or the MIX solution

  • Gently peel the sensor away from the lamination wall, starting from the top

⚠️ Important: Always have two people for this step to prevent the sensor from folding or creasing.

Step 2 – Lay the Sensor on the Glass

  • Hold the sensor stretched at the corners, adhesive side down

  • Slowly lay it down onto the cleaned glass surface

Step 3 – Align the Edges

  • Ensure the sensor edges align with the glass edges

  • Use the visible borders of the sensor’s active area to help center and square it

Step 4 – Spray the MIX Solution

  • Evenly spray the MIX solution over the sensor to prepare for squeegeeing

  • This will help remove air pockets and allow smooth adhesion during lamination
