DISPLAX Connect includes Privacy Preferences that allow you to control how the application handles software updates and diagnostic data. These settings give you transparency and control over data usage while ensuring optimal performance and security.
You can manage these options the first time you launch Displax Connect after closing the tutorial, or at any time from the Preferences menu.
Select the Privacy tab.
You will see the available privacy-related settings described below.
When enabled, DISPLAX Connect will periodically check for available firmware and software updates. This ensures:
Improved performance
Bug fixes
Access to new features and enhancements
Updates are not installed automatically. Your approval is required before any installation takes place.
Only update availability is checked automatically
You remain in full control of when updates are installed
Keeping software up to date is recommended for system stability and optimal performance
When enabled, DISPLAX Connect automatically collects anonymous diagnostic data to help improve product quality and performance.
This data may include:
Device and operating system information
Errors
Feature usage statistics
Performance metrics
All collected data is:
Anonymous
Aggregated
Used solely for analysis and continuous improvement
