Overview
Displax Connect 4.2.0 allows you to save the configuration of a Touch Controller and load it onto another compatible controller. This feature is ideal for deploying multiple systems with the same hardware configuration or restoring a known working setup.
Saving settings also provides a convenient backup that can be restored if configuration parameters are accidentally changed.
When to Use This Feature
Use Save & Load Settings when:
-
Deploying multiple identical touch systems
-
Creating a backup of a working configuration
-
Restoring a previous configuration
-
Standardizing settings across multiple installations
For best results, the systems should have the same:
-
LCD/display model
-
Glass size and thickness
-
DISPLAX sensor model and size
-
Air gap
-
Installation conditions
Save Settings
In the ADVANCED tab, click on SAVE
A dialog will appear, "Exporting Settings... Please wait...":
This will be followed by a dialog, stating, "Settings have been saved successfully!":
You may now close the dialog.
Settings Included
The saved configuration includes:
-
Touch status (Enabled/Disabled)
-
Gain
Threshold
-
Shield level
-
Palm Detection and Palm Rejection Area (Massive Clearance & Massive Min Size - Mesh/Zeeto) - not available on Skin Dualtouch
-
Disabled rows, columns, or cells
-
Maximum number of touches
-
Geometric calibration
Loading Settings
In the ADVANCED tab, click on LOAD, and select the file saved earlier:
A dialogue will appear: "Loading Settings... Please wait...":
This is followed by a dialogue saying, "Settings have been loaded successfully! Restarting...", after which the controller will automatically restart:
When a saved configuration is loaded onto another compatible Touch Controller, all supported settings are applied automatically.
Although the configuration is copied from the original installation, every display and installation environment is slightly different. After loading the settings, verify touch performance and make any fine-tuning adjustments if necessary.
Note: This feature is intended for Touch Controllers of the same product model using the same firmware versions. Contact support@displax.com if any assistance is required.
Best Practice
After loading a settings file:
-
Verify touch performance across the entire active area.
-
Perform additional calibration or tuning if required.
-
Restart the Touch Controller to ensure all settings are fully applied.
