Skin Connect – Windows 10 Spring Update

Skin Connect – Windows 10 Spring Update

Skin Connect crashes after Windows 10 update 1803 – what should I do?

The Windows 10 version 1803 update caused crashes in the deprecated Skin Connect software.

To resolve this issue, DISPLAX released a dedicated Windows 10 driver specifically for systems still using Skin Connect.

⚠️ Important:
Skin Connect is deprecated and no longer supported.

Windows 10 – 64bits (driver v1.8.0.3)
Windows 10 – 32bits (driver v1.8.0.3)

If you are still using Skin Connect on Windows 10:

  1. Back up your Skin Connect settings

  2. Install the Skin Connect driver

  3. If the driver is not detected, disable Secure Boot

  4. Test touch functionality again

Step 1 – Save Skin Connect Settings

Before installing the new driver:

  • Save or export your existing Skin Connect configuration

  • This allows you to restore settings if needed after the update

Step 2 – Install the Skin Connect Driver

Download and install the appropriate driver version from the links above.

  4. Set Secure Boot = Disabled

  5. Save changes and exit

  6. Let the PC reboot

Option B – From Windows

  1. Hold Shift and select Restart

  2. Go to:

    • Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → UEFI Firmware Settings

  3. Disable Secure Boot

  4. Reboot

After reboot:
