Each DISPLAX Tile unit supports up to 100 simultaneous touch points.
When multiple Tile units are used together:
Touch points are added per Tile
The maximum total number of touches is capped at 254
⚠️ This 254-touch limit is imposed by Windows 10, not by DISPLAX hardware.
Other operating systems may support a different maximum number of touches, depending on their specifications.
Yes. DISPLAX Tile is highly flexible and supports multiple installation scenarios:
You can use Tile:
As a single touch display (Landscape or Portrait)
As part of a videowall with multiple Tile units
As a touch-enabled table (Landscape or Portrait)
As a large interactive table, combining multiple Tile units
💡 Orientation and layout do not affect touch capability, provided calibration and alignment are correctly performed.
You can use up to 6 TAGs per Tile unit
When using multiple Tile units:
Each Tile can physically detect up to 6 TAGs
However, the system is limited to 6 unique TAG IDs in total
⚠️ This means:
TAGs can be used on different Tiles
But only 6 TAG IDs can be active across the entire system
Yes, DISPLAX Tile is compatible with Active Object Recognition (Active OR), upon request.
DISPLAX Tile controllers include a dedicated interface location for the Active OR add-on, allowing integration of the DPXActiveOR solution when required by the project.
Active OR is not enabled by default on DISPLAX Tile.
Compatibility requires:
A Tile controller prepared for Active OR
The DPXActiveOR add-on module
Appropriate firmware support
Availability and configuration must be requested at project definition stage.
💡 If Active OR is required, please contact DISPLAX Sales or Support to confirm compatibility, firmware, and hardware requirements before ordering.
USB hubs can work, but they must be selected carefully.
Using low-quality or unpowered USB hubs may cause:
Power instability
USB communication dropouts
Touch performance degradation over time
Use powered USB hubs only
Prefer USB expansion boards inside the PC whenever possible
If hubs are unavoidable:
Do not overload them
Distribute devices across multiple hubs
