Unpacking

Tools and Method

Although it may seem a simple task one wouldn't put too much thought into, during unpacking, there are a few important things to consider to prevent undesirable issues in the next steps of the foil installation.

The first step of the unpacking process should always be to check for any abnormality or damage to the packaging itself - If the tube does not appear to have any major damage that could impact the content, we can proceed to open it.

Please note: Should the tube present major damage, or it appears to have been opened - Photograph it and contact Displax Support department at support@displax.com. The Support Team will investigate, assist, and take the best course of action depending on the situation
For best results, a well-lit, clean environment with adequate space, free from dust or particulate matter, and static electricity, is highly recommended.

The tools needed for unpacking:

  • Box cutter
  • Table/Flat surface (the size of the sensor or larger)

Follow these steps to remove the contents from the tube safely:

  • Open the tube with the help of the box cutter, by carefully cutting the tape around the cover;
  • Remove the cover;
  • Remove the contents inside, leaving only the sensor unpacked;
  • Remove the sensor and carefully unroll it over the table/flat surface
  • Expell the air from the inflated protective pouch first before removing the Touch Controller

Storage Recommendations
  1. Unpack from the tube and store in a flat position as soon as possible
  2. Keep inside the tube for a maximum of 3 months
