Video Wall Calibration Feature

Video Wall Calibration Feature

How Do I Calibrate Multiple TILE Pros Using Video Wall Calibration Mode?

DISPLAX Connect includes a dedicated Video Wall Calibration feature. This mode automates the creation of calibration areas, significantly speeding up the process of configuring multiple TILE Pro units for a unified video wall or interactive table.

Important Prerequisite: > For the Video Wall Calibration option to appear in the software menu, your operating system display settings must be configured as a single large canvas with a 16:9 aspect ratio. If your setup uses a different aspect ratio or extended display mode, this feature will be hidden, and you must use Calibration Drag Mode instead.

Step 1: Configure the Video Wall Matrix

  1. Launch DISPLAX Connect: Open the software and ensure all your TILE Pro units are detected in the left-hand panel.

  2. Open Calibration: Click on the CALIBRATION menu tab.

  3. Select Mode: Choose the Video Wall option. (Note: If this option is missing, verify if the screens are merged in a single canvas).

  4. Set the Layout: A Config Video Wall option will appear. Enter the appropriate matrix for your physical setup. For our example, enter 4 Columns and 1 Row.

  5. Initiate: Click the CALIBRATE button.

Step 2: Verify the Auto-Generated Calibration Areas

Once you click Calibrate, green rectangles will automatically fill across the displays, representing the calibration area for each TILE Pro.

The primary benefit of the Video Wall Calibration feature is that DISPLAX Connect automatically calculates, sizes, and aligns these rectangles based on your defined matrix. This intelligently adjusts to your setup and drastically simplifies the calibration process.

In Case Manual Adjustments Are Needed: Usually, the auto-generated areas are perfectly aligned. However, in the case that specific operating system scaling or bezel thicknesses cause misalignment, you can manually fine-tune the green rectangles using your mouse:

  • Modify Shape: Use the controls on the rectangle's vertices and corners to adjust the size vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. You can also rotate the rectangle.

  • Move Placement: Click and drag to move the entire rectangle.

Step 3: Execute Touch Calibration

Once all green rectangles are correctly positioned:

  1. Press the Space bar on your keyboard to lock the areas and start the touch calibration.

  2. The calibration targets will appear on one TILE Pro at a time (4 targets per TILE Pro).

  3. Place your finger directly on the center of the first target. Hold it completely still until the green validation circle completes itself.

  4. Move to the next target and repeat.

  5. Once you complete the 4 targets on the first TILE Pro, the targets will automatically jump to the next TILE Pro in the sequence. Repeat until all TILE Pros are calibrated.

Once the final target on the final TILE Pro is completed, the process ends. Your operating system will now treat all connected TILE Pros as one large, unified touch screen.
