DISPLAX Warranty Terms

DISPLAX Warranty Terms

What are the DISPLAX Warranty Terms?

DISPLAX warrants to the original end user/customer that DISPLAX products are free from defects in materials and workmanship, under normal and intended use.

Warranty Coverage Period

  • Warranty duration: 2 years

  • Applies to: All DISPLAX Skin products

  • Start date: From the invoice date

  • Effective since: January 2017

What Does the Warranty Cover?

During the warranty period, DISPLAX will, at its discretion:

  • Repair or replace defective parts

  • Repairs and replacements are performed at DISPLAX headquarters in Braga, Portugal

  • Replacement parts are covered for the remaining period of the original warranty

⚠️ Any parts replaced under warranty become the property of DISPLAX.

What Is NOT Covered by the Warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Incorrect handling or storage

  • Improper or incorrect installation

  • Use outside the product’s intended specifications

  • Use of incompatible or unauthorized accessories

  • Accidents, vandalism, or intentional damage

  • Misuse or abuse

  • Natural disasters (fire, flooding, etc.)

  • Insufficient or excessive electrical power supply

  • Abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions

  • Incorrect repackaging of the product

Warranty Is Also Void If the Product Has Been:

  • Altered or tampered with

  • Modified from its original configuration

  • Serviced, upgraded, or repaired by unauthorized personnel

⚠️ Any service performed by someone not authorized by DISPLAX voids the warranty.

How to Initiate a Warranty Claim

To start a warranty claim, contact DISPLAX Support and provide:

  • Product model

  • Serial number

  • Date of purchase

  • Clear description of the issue

DISPLAX may request that the product be returned for inspection.

Shipping and Service Conditions

  • Warranty service is Return-to-Base only

  • The warranty does not include:

    • On-site labor

    • Travel expenses

    • Installation costs

    • Shipping costs to DISPLAX

Shipping Responsibilities

  • DISPLAX will cover return shipping of repaired or replaced products to the original shipping location, if the claim is valid.

  • If no defect is found, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Important Technical Notes

  • Many warranty claims are rejected due to installation-related damage — following official installation and lamination guides is critical.

  • Always test sensors before lamination to avoid non-warranty damage.

  • Keep original packaging for safe transport if a return is required.
