Enable / Disable areas of the touch sensor

The Sensor Tools feature allows you to enable or disable specific areas of your touch sensor, such as rows and columns. This can be useful for excluding certain parts of the sensor from touch detection.

Disabling Rows or Columns

To disable a row or column:

  1. Click on the Sensor Tools button.

  2. In the Sensor Tools view, click on the numbers along the edge to select the row(s) or column(s) you want to disable.

For example, to disable rows 0, 1, and 47:

In this example, rows 0, 1, and 47 will no longer respond to touch.

Re-enabling Rows or Columns

To re-enable disabled rows or columns:

  • Click on the corresponding numbers along the edge of the Sensor Tools view again, or

  • Click the Erase button to reset all disabled areas.

Disabling Specific Areas

There is an additional option to disable specific areas of the sensor. This prevents the end-user from interacting with certain parts of an application, which can be useful for customising touch behaviour.

  1. Click on the Sensor Tools button.

  2. Drag over the area you want to disable within the Sensor Tools view.

  3. The selected area will no longer respond to touch input.
