How to clean the glass before laminating the Displax touch sensor?
Before laminating your touch sensor, the glass surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Any dust, oil, or debris may impact touch performance or cause bubbles.
Cleaning Method
Step 1 – Basic Cleaning with MIX
Use the MIX solution (90% distilled water + 10% Johnson’s Baby Shampoo) and squeegee 1 to clean the entire glass surface.
-
Spray the MIX evenly across the surface
Use squeegee 1 to wipe from top to bottom, overlapping strokes (Fig. 3, Fig. 4)
Dry edges with a lint-free cloth if needed

-
Wipe the glass with ethyl alcohol (96%) and a lint-free microfiber cloth
-
Then repeat Step 1 to finalize cleaning with the MIX and squeegee 1

Step 3 – Final Inspection
Visually inspect the glass for dust, streaks, and residue (Fig. 5). The surface must be perfectly clean before continuing with lamination.
