Sensor Scan

Sensor Scan

Set the Number of Channels with Sensor Scan

The Sensor Scan feature automatically detects and applies the correct number of channels (rows and columns) for the connected DISPLAX Skin Zeeto sensor.
This ensures that the controller is correctly configured to match the sensor’s geometry, improving accuracy and eliminating manual setup errors.

What Is Sensor Scan?

Each DISPLAX sensor is built from a grid of conductive rows (TX-channels) and columns (RX-channels) that determine its touch area.
The Sensor Scan function automatically identifies this configuration, setting the correct frame size in DISPLAX Connect.

💡 This feature is available only for DISPLAX Zeeto controllers.

How to Use Sensor Scan

  1. Open DISPLAX Connect.

  2. Click on the Sensor Tools button in the main interface.

  3. Inside Sensor Tools, click Sensor Scan.

Step 1 – Verify Sensor Size

If the current sensor size is not set to the maximum supported configuration, a warning message will appear:

⚠️ To start a sensor scan, the sensor size must be set to the maximum supported value (32x32).

Click Continue to proceed or Cancel to adjust settings manually.

Step 2 – Scanning Process

The controller will now scan the sensor to detect its active rows and columns.
Avoid touching the sensor during this step to prevent interference.

Once completed, the following confirmation window will appear:

This shows the detected frame size (for example, 16x10).
Click Apply to save the detected configuration or Cancel to discard the result.

Step 3 – Applying Changes

After applying the detected frame size, a success message will confirm that the new configuration has been set:

Click Close to finish the process.

Benefits of Sensor Scan

  • Automatic configuration – Detects and sets rows and columns automatically.

  • Error prevention – Eliminates manual input mistakes.

  • Time-saving – Simplifies setup and reconfiguration.

  • Reliable performance – Ensures the controller matches the sensor geometry.

⚠️ Notes

  • The sensor must be connected to the controller before running a scan.

  • The Sensor Scan feature is supported only on DISPLAX Zeeto controllers.
